Creative States was launched in 2019 to provide a platform for artists and other creative thought leaders to explore a future we want to live in. The logotype and color palette were created to inspire whimsy, playfulness, and a child-like sense of exploration.
In addition to core branding, symbols were developed for each of the platform’s six creative states. These states would be guiding archetypes for community content and would become the pillars of the brand. Abstract photo montages illustrated each state to engage the community and illuminate the mythology behind each symbol.
